This song is on a wikipedia page that lists the songs reffering to kurt cobain. Dont know if its true but it could well be considering they were in the same seattle "grunge" scene. (i hate that word) Anyway, MonsterOfRock is an ignorant fool, which i guess is easy to spot when you read his brilliantly phrased post and his totally cool name... Sorry to be a dick but that really pissed me off. |

I downloaded this song because it's the only one on the greatest hits album that was never released. The thing was recorded off the god damn radio. There were even voices in the background! I mean, for fuck sake. Who does that? Anyway... great song |

Apparently Duane Allman had a dream where Jimi Hendrix played him this song in a bathroom... using a faucet as a guitar. He remembered it later in a recording session and the band loved it! |

| Bob Dylan – Mr. Tambourine Man Lyrics | 20 years ago |

This was indeed one of Hunter S. Thompson's favourite songs. In fact, he dedicated his book "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" to Bob Dylan for this song. As for it's meaning... I don't disagree that it could be about drugs, but that's not what I take from it. For me it's about someone who is emotionally and physically drained who just needs some music to take him away from his pain. And by the way, I'm not against drugs. VERY much the opposite. |

Rudegirl's lyrics here are correct. It is "Blind to the last curse of the fair." Those are the lyrics written in the album sleve. Besides, "Blind to the last cursed affair" would be too easy to understand. lol I think the "curse of the fair" is the danger that if you become involved with someone who is very beautiful, they will always be persued by others. And, unfortunately for the author, one of his girlfriend's persuers managed to take her from him. Not quite sure what the meaning is of the reference to the "pistols" though. Any thoughts? |
