i first thought this song might be about a ghost... yeah i know it sounds stupid and childish but it kind of works with the lyrics. -My body is a cage That keeps me from dancing with the one I love ...he can not hold/dance with the one he loves because he's a ghost -But my mind holds the key ...ghosts need to finish they didnt have time to acheive when they were alive. He knows what to do. -Realizing I'm dancing With the one I love ... He acheive his goal -Set my spirit free ... do really have to explain? -Just because you've forgotten ... he forgot to do what he add to do...? that don't mean you're forgiven ... doesn't mean you're forgiven after death im french so maybe i just misinterpret the meaning of the verses. i dont agree with my own theory, but i found it funny that some lyrics where working with it. AND DON'T THINK I BELIEVE IN GHOSTS!!! |

i bought the the "sliver:the best of the box" CD and found the home demo of rape me pretty good, but i can't found the lyrics anywhere... so I would appreciate if someone could post the link of a site where I could found it or just post the lyrics. You may found that pretty stupid and you're probably telling yourself "y don't you do it by yourself??"... well, the song doesn't have a good sound quality and it's event harder went its not your first language (im french, people who speak more then a language will understand) w/e.. They record this song at a house party and it was their first public performance (i red it in the "Sliver The Best of the Box" booklet). It was in 1987 so Kurt had about 20 years old... i think. So i think you shouldn't do a big deal about how they "massacre" the song, i accuatly thought it sound pretty good :) - MaT PS: sorry for my bad english... im a french canadian:) |
