King Crimson – Thela Hun Ginjeet Lyrics 20 years ago
King Crimson kind of became an unfortunate band after Peter Sinfield quit writing for them. I think the song is a little gimmicky, although the tone of voice reflects the attitude of the bandmate telling the story. THe instrumentalism, as usual, is superb, but KC seems like a band without a cause sans Sinfield.

I forgot to mention that Frederick II is the supposed "Crimson King," which Fripp sas is a synonym for the Arabic phrase "B'il Sabab" which means, literally, "the man with an aim," but which is commonly tranlsated Beelezebub in English... or, the devil.

This all sounds dead on, except that Peter Sinfield (responsible for all of King Crimson's lyrics in their first four albums, as well as some Emerson, Lake, and Palmer and other great bands of the era) claims that the first four albums comprise a single tale (almost surely about Frederick II, Holy Roman Emperor [Germany] at the turn of the 13th century) and the only song on the ENTIRE four albums that doens't fit for me is this one... Maybe the meaning goes a little deeper than you guys are looking? Sinfield is one of the most taciturn, mystical songwriter of the great prog rock era, so I wouldn't be surprised to see that there's even more to it than some of you suspect

I think it's actually "Come Saturday jump chopper, chelsea brigade"... not that I have ANY idea what that means... In fact, the whole song is a mystery to me, except that it's supposedly Frederick II that Peter Sinfield was writing about.
