My all time favorite SP song. Lots of feeling in this song. I don't know if it's about his brother or not. But I listen to music and associate it with my life...it's more fun that way, and songs stay with me longer. I always think of spaceboy being a constant daydreamer type person who is in their own reality and doesn't really belong in society and doesn't really give a shit that they don't belong. To me it's an escapist song: be it escape by using drugs or living in a fantasy in your head. 'I wanna go home' >>>I just wanna go home to the thoughts in my head which is home to me. |

This song reminds me of taking acid/smoking pot and having a bad paranoia attack while at a big party or just hanging out with friends. I would be so incredible paranoid and blasted out of my mind that I wouldn't/couldn't say anything. And the background vocals are what I was feeling like they were thinking about me at that time. I should have just relaxed and said something...anything.... just to release the insane tension I had at the time. |

I totally agree with WorkingClassLoser, and all other's who say "If ya havn't been there, you don't know" Only thing I would like to add is I think they are trying to convey how hard it is to rejoin the social world, like parties and get togethers...times when a person want's to join in and talk to others but is so nervous that they can't do it. And the background vocals are an imagination of the person about what others are thinking about them and about why the quite person isn't saying anything. It's like paranoia put into words in this song. Very meaningfull to me and one of PF's best imo. |

I love this song. To me it's about feeling isolated and lonely and not having anyone to help you get out of this feeling. It's about watching the world going on and not feeling you are a part of it. Then you can't stand this feeling anymore and you decide to join the world and come back to life. |
