i think this song is about blink wanting kids to be themselves, and encouraging them to be different from the crowd. tom says he hates a number of 'types' of people, and this givees me the impression that people these days get branded all the time, and they are becoming hated for it. therefore, tom is steering kids well clear from the mainstream, and urging them to be who they want to be, and like it says in the song, not fit in.
