I highly doubt that Incubus and Big Punisher actually got together in a studio and recorded this together. I'm sure Kil just had it on vinyl, which is why you hear him scratching out some of the nasty words. In the original, it says "You nasty, Twin. I don't care." I'm sure they just took that out and said brah instead. This was one of the songs my Sims used to dance to back in the day when I put it into the folder with the songs that play on the radios. |

| It's actually "just enough to hurt my dad". He probably smelled from smoking marijuana. One of the probable reasons for smoking marijuana was to anger his dad. Perhaps the divorce of his parents had something to do with him wanting to anger his dad. Maybe not. Oh, and I believe it is "Come Thursday mornin', I smelled the pits, but hey, they aint that bad..." These are some of the more difficult lyrics to decipher. :) | |

| perhaps it was written about the breakup with carolyn before it actually happened. rumor has it they broke up in august, and that it was because incubus is always on tour and it is hard to have a relationship when he is gone all of the time. who knows. just a theory. whatever inspired it, it is beautiful. | |

it's from the closet cultivation demo, but you can download it online. and to answer the question "where did the lyrics come from?"...um...they came from the brain and eventually mouth of brandon charles boyd. hope that helps a little. |

Beginning with "Damn" and ending with "again", that is Chris (aka DJ Kilmore). "I" to "away" is Josè. "Just" to "about" is Mike. The "I smoke, you smoke, we smoke, they smoke, smoking everywhere. I smoke, you smoke, we smoke, they smoke, smoking all together" is also Mike. Those lovely high parts such as in the chorus and other parts are Brandon. It is obviously Incubus. |

While you're looking for the rare demos listed above by CourseWeDeliver...also search for Purple Koolaid. The sound quality on the mp3s of the demos is usually not very good, but they are definitely worth downloading. |
