Converge – Towing Jehovah Lyrics 16 years ago
"Towing Jehovah" is the title of a book by James Morrow. In the story, God dies and falls into the ocean, and the Vatican hires an oil tanker captain to tug his massive body to the arctic for burial. Hence the line from the song, "Holding your rope. Try to forget me now." He's talking about man having the last laugh over God.
