This isn't a song about nothing. The 'story' behind the song about a 12-year-old writing was made up to illustrate the song's meaning. It's sort of a mix between a play and a fable, with the moral(s) being: Never blindy follow anyone else, especially if they say they know better than you, because they most likely don't. Think for yourself. Take responsibility for your own life and actions; God (or anybody else) won't save you from your own stupidity or ignorance. |
