| let me add my side to all this: i'm a christian and came across this song because i love dimmu borgirs music. In my opinion, organized religion is wrong on a -"this is what we believe and only believe" basis. Anyway, my point is that just because ur satanist or just because ur christian or whatever doesnt mean u believe the "official rules" of that religion. Everyone believes differently, at least slightly. I DO believe alot of christians today should be more open-minded and learn about satanism and other stuff (which i'm gonna do now that i read this). Simply, we're all in this world together. we should all learn about each other and waht we believe. This song isnt "bad". it's an expression of what someone believes or just felt like writing about. So, i dont know what else to say. | |

i think its talkin about the many unworthy leaders of America ('for those who can afford it'-- usually the candidates with the most money and popularity win) and negative media (like tv) and how its destroying and desperately bringing America as a society to a lower level. 'One nation above God himself'-- how America's been slowly shutting God out of society and life (as if we dont need him or that we're above him) 'American sheets on the deathbed' -- if you live by what's become the widely accepted American lifestyle (without God), you're gonna die spiritually this is what i get out of it |
