crap! i would have sworn it was "put the suits right on the guestlist". This whole thing reminds me of the feeling of THINKING you're about to sign "the big deal". When you finally decide a major label is what you want, then start to let your mind wander on that.

i agree with variable... and i still wonder if there's a connection to CANE AND ABEL. The name abel isn't real common.
It could also be that the narrator WANTS to drive drunk in a sort of james dean/ timmy taylor suicide sort of thing |

I'm pretty influenced by the first few lines (i love that part SO MUCH and it's what really got me into this band).
It's about dissatisfaction with the straight life. It's about how much it sucks to work a 9-5 and be home doing the normal thing when you know what it's been like to live in a van partying and playing shows every night.
The creative spirit ruins a lot of lives and a lot of relationships. |
