This song hits me so hard, it is so beautiful. I feel like I can relate to this song, I've liked this guy for a really long time and we went out but back then he was a bit of a rebound for me. I regret dumping him so much but he is going to the army and won't let me get too close. I think he doesn't want a relationship because he'll be leaving, or I dunno maybe its just me. But all we can ever be in just good friends and the beauty of this song is that, well we can all relate to the situation. |

I think this song is about a breakup too, with that bitterness felt which you can just see in the lyrics. I also believe the car crash is a metaphor for the end of the relationship and maybe in the part "the air cuts like glass and u taste like winter. and how long will you last ,forever" could refer to a guilty hookup and Brock questioning where they are at, finally coming to the conclusion that she's..a maneater. Well, to me she sounds like a devil woman lol, feel free to agree i'm probably wrong |

Love the ship metaphor, this song really enforces the truth that this life is yours. To me especially, it says you determine which way you go. I agree with Majes, it is uplifting. I think this song is basically about trying again after failure. AWESOME song, I can't get enough of it. LOVE 36 Crazyfists and Killswitch. Two of my favourite bands. |
