Great tune. :)
My thoughts are that it could be about the progression of a relationship - where in the beginning it is a heated passionate thing and it's very hard to see anything outside of that. And how as you get to know each other, you slowly move out of the "Honeymoon Stage" and start to see the things that cool the relationship and take you down to a more realistic view of what you got. And perhaps it ends up working or it doesn't - depending on the communication between two people (sweet little lover won't you let me know?).
Who knows - in the end, it is only the songwriter(s) you really know what it is about. Love it! |

I love this song.. it's got a sexy feel to it. I believe it is about a guy who killed a guy who was messing around with his girlfriend.. so they sent him to jail.. but he escaped and then they caught him again... and he still is trying to bust out... |

I love this song... I love the female background vocals in it.. I believe Ryan Adams said this about the song: "That's actually the answer to a song that was written about me called 'You Never Say Goodbye' by an artist who will remain unnamed." but I have never been able to find that song or figure out who it is about... Love it.. great tune... |
