I think this song is about a girl who works hard..etc..and I presume has broken up with some guy (...And I'll forget you...) and has gone with her friend (As she say 'We're' rather than 'I'm' although this could mean the whole plane...But I think she has gone with Alice who has been before) to Hawaii to forget things and have a break from everday life...as well as possibly meet someone new. Great song. |

I don't think she is stalking him as such but she does look out for him. And seems very 'disillusioned' with life. She loved this guy and they broke up and she feels empty now...like she has nothing to live for. |

Thank you for saying about this being set during the Mexican revolution...so obvious yet people seem not to get this. I think it's during the 1910 revolution because it's obvious that Fernando and co. lost. And although at the imediate end of said revolution the people thought they had one...it was soon aparent that they had lost and that another tyrant had taken over. |
