On its simplest level, this song seems to be about losing yourself to love, giving yourself over to it, and to expanding your world beyond the humdrum you may be accustomed to. It's about surrendering complacency for adventure, and that adventure is love. On a deeper level, I wonder if there is perhaps an undertone of "coming out of the closet" on this one. The lyrics "And yes I'm terrified / 'Cause when you're out you know there's no return / But I love you and they're gonna learn" seems to carry that sentiment well.

Perhaps this song is written from the perspective of the other half of "When I Return" - from the view of someone whose loved one has gone travelling around the world, as opposed to the one doing the travelling.

I think this song is about someone in a relationship that he has realised isn't working. She doesn't really know him, and doesn't really fulfill his needs. She's not what he thought she was. He wants to get away and see the world, travel, experience new things, and he wants her to be the one who experiences them with him - maybe even shwo him a few new things herself. Her, though? She's not so keen... I relate to this song a great deal, as it happens.

I'm more inclined to believe that this song is about someone who has a real need to travel the world and see as much of it as he can, but only by distincing himself from his home and his family does he realise just how much he belongs there.

This song is about a couple who are no longer as close as they once was, and who perhaps stay together because they're used to each other although they have grown apart. I think the bridge ("But listen and think when I say it") explains that the intent behind the chorus is that she believes he has found someone else. She's asking who is it he is seeing that makes him feel the way she used to, the way she believes she may still make him feel. I think this song is about a woman confronting her partner, sutbly, about whether or not he is having an affair. Listen and think.

Robbie himself has been accused of having an ego. I personally see this as an act (something which, to a degree, is confirmed by the "interview" of sorts in the Greatest Hits CD booklet insert), and this song is part'n'parcel of that act.
