| Shout Out Louds – Seagull Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think this song is trying to say that he met a person who he treated as a friend but he doesnt trust him. So he continued being his friends and doing stuff for him ("kissed his feet"), but when he got the chance he hurt his friend because he never trusted him in the first place ("broke his knees"). Then when he looked into his eyes expecting to see him wanting revenge or anger, he only saw himself and he realized that this person never deserved to be harmed, that he was a good person after all and that he ("I") had the wrong impression of this friend. | |
| Shout Out Louds – The Comeback Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| He feels like crap after his last relationship, and now he's getting back on his feet, feeling normal again, and he's calling it the comeback. | |

| ouch. That one hurt my brain. Yea caffeine is in coffe not nicotine. Even still, cigarets can represent your middle years. | |
| Bloc Party – Compliments Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I think each line is about a certain part of your life. "we sit and we sigh, and nothing gets done" refers to when you were a baby and when you were a kid. "so right, so clued-up" teenage years when you thought you were always right. "we just get old" the point of the song. "and all the while, been torn asunder" maybe rough teenage years or just a rough life in general. "nicotine" where do we find nicotine? coffe. Who drinks a lot of coffe? People who work. This is your 30/40s. "and bacteria" you get old, bacteria comes in, gives you a disease and you die. Thats what I got from the song. |

| The Decemberists – Eli, the Barrow Boy Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I think it's pretty simple. Eli died and he still works after he's dead to try to make his lover's life better. And I do agree that he commited suicide, perhaps to be with her and make her life better in the afterlife. "But I am dead and gone and lying in a church ground But still I push my barrow all the day" He still works after he is dead so he can buy her things. |
