A close friend of him died early, probably suicide. I come to think about it was suicide because you hear the word 'suicide' whispered quietly if you listen to the song properly.. Anyway, the death of his friend makes him try to live his life more consciously than he did before, grateful to be alive. He tries not to worry so much, because he knows, his friend will be save where his soul rests now. |

| Emilie Autumn – Let The Record Show Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| not quite sure, if it's about rape or sexual abuse. More likely I think it's about a girl who gets exploited by a man. She knew who she got involved with, someone who slews each girl he could have, she heard the rumours about him. But she wanted to give him the chance to prove, it's not true what they say. It was true though. | |
| Emilie Autumn – Misery Loves Company Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| For me it about a girl who tries to find someone who really likes her und she like him to, but every relationship ends because the men begin to bore her very soon, become uninteresting. She unhappy and depressed, tries to compensate her emotional instability with sexual promiscuity but it doesn't help to feel better, she knows. She also plays games with the men, makes them fall in love with her but let them fall when she gets bored. | |
| Emilie Autumn – In The Lake Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Possibly about an ex-relationship to someone. Someone hurted her much, broke her heart, made her promises he couldn't keep, insulted her. She feels down but what he had done to her won't get her down forever, she tells him, that she's now stronger than he could ever think. Also I think this comparision with the lake means that what he had done to her may come back to him one day, kind of revenge for his sins. It will be buried, but not forgotten. He will be the loser, not her, because she gained strength through all oft it. She's got an ocean, he's got just a lake. |

| Emilie Autumn – The Art of Suicide Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
After resignation, disillusion and complaining: "Life is not like a gloomy Sunday With a second ending where the people are disturbed Well they should be disturbed Because there's a lesson that really ought to be learned" That's what life is about, you need to be disturbed. The bad expieriences just make you stronger, everyone. Considering suicide, it's really helpful to think like that.. |
