I believe this song is about Jeff's problem with not being able to sleep at night because he has bad Night Terrors. He said once that he would stay up all night writing songs till morning because he feared sleeping at night. I think he means by "knowing im safe on the inside" is his way of finding comfort to make his fears of the night pass over. |

the lyric "turn your head now baby just spit me out" I believe is a reference to a part of the bible where Christ says your either for me or against me, you cant be in the middle and people who are in the middle makes him sick and he throws them up out his mouth... its basically u dont agree with me, yet u follow me, so its either choose a side or stay in the middle and throw me up... |

I think the video is about a serial killer who is being haunted by his past victims... in the end all the other people is wearing the same clothes and it shows the killer in a tub drowning himself... once he walks outside hes dressed like the rest and fits in, I belive this is because he killed himself in the tub, so now hes one of his victims also because he died by his own will... |
