Against Me! – Tonight We're Gonna Give It 35% Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is about selling out and not being happy with the music you're playing. Hence the sarcasm in the title. One of the best Against Me! songs my ears have ever had the pleasure of listening.

By the way, andrewking86, Against Me! are on Fat. Fat's an indie label owned by Epitaph, and not some subsidery of Warner Bros. or somethin like that.

Queens of the Stone Age – No One Knows Lyrics 20 years ago
I think this song is about someone who hasn't found God, and thinks that he has found out everything he needs to know about religion, like he solved some sort of "religion puzzle" that no one else knows.

The first verse, "We get these rules to follow..." - The rules of organized religions, ending in "No one knows", insinuating that organized religions seem to kind of make their rules as they go along.

And now, for the chorus. I think the "I realize your mine" line means that God is what you make of it. That he can be a good guy or a bad guy to anyone, and him singing "Indeed a fool am I" means he doesn't want any part of it, because he thinks he knows everything he needs to know, and he's proud of it.

"I journey through the desert.... I found low". According to the Bible, Moses traveled through the desert and found a burning bush, in which God's voice spoke through. I think he's saying here that he's traveled his own desert in his mind and didn't find God. As for the dead lifeboats coming undone in the sun part, I think he's saying that people depend on God like lifeboats, and when you need him the most, he leaves you stranded in the sun, for you to come undone.

As for the "Heaven smiles above me" part, I think that he realized there is a Heaven, but he's figured out everything he needs to know about it, and that he thinks that God, or the Heavens, are proud of him for this, like he solved a riddle that no one else knows. Hence the song title "no one knows".

But it's just a theory...

Misfits – Bruiser (If Looks Could Kill) Lyrics 20 years ago
devilreggea hit it on the nose. This was written for the movie Bruiser (which wasn't all that good) along with another song, Fiend Without a Face. This song is definitely the better out of the 2, but let's get on to what it means.

I personally just think it's about a guy who knows he's done wrong, and knows he's going to hell, but couldn't care less.

But then again, it's a Misfits song. Most of these songs don't have much meaning behind them other than to be cult classics.
