Usher – Moving Mountains Lyrics 17 years ago
I love this song. It gets me all emotional. I can definitely relate.

But yeah, you're missing some lyrics. The bridge near the end goes like this:

This must be a slow death that I'm travelling on
It feels so wrong, I'm barely holding on
See, No matter what it takes I'm gonna get it together
Baby, baby, yeah

And these hills that I'm travelling up
She ain't showing me love
I'm down on my luck
Ooh, oh girl, ooh

Rent – Tune Up #3 (The Loft) Lyrics 19 years ago
I was really disappointed to find out the tune-ups and voicemails weren't in the movie, too! When I first saw RENT on Broadway, the line that jumped out at me was:

His girlfriend April
Left a note saying "We've got AIDS"
Before slitting her wrists in the bathroom

For some reason it hit me really hard at the time. Even to this day, it remains the most memorable line from RENT.

Though I have to admit, I was a bit confused about the plot at first. It wasn't until I saw the movie that I filled in a couple remaining blanks. The musical is so fast-paced and energetic I didn't even have time to soak in the plot, haha. But watching it a second time reminded me of just how awesome it is. I love it.

Armchair Cynics – Bang Lyrics 20 years ago
But is he merely talking about her kiss? Or is he also referring to the emotions that are associated with this physical desire?

I'm not sure if this song is more about love or lust. He makes all these references to kisses, sex, and just very physical things in general. I feel that this song is charged with sexual energy and on the verge of explosion.

The whole "Mojo witchcraft" thing is kinda creepy - in a bad way. Makes it sound almost cult-like. I guess he's trying to tell her that she sets him off, and makes him go "Bang, bang, bang." But what does that even mean? That he's happy? Crazy in love? Or just horny? Haha.

Though there is that word choice: "soaked in sin" What is this sin he speaks of? Loving her too much? Or is he talking about his desire that he feels? But in the end, her kiss baptizes him and can do wonders. Again, is this love? Or lust?

Either way, it's an awesome song. Love it to pieces! So darn catchy! *dance*

Rachael Lampa – If You Believe Lyrics 20 years ago
This song was on the A Walk To Remember soundtrack, though it was not in the movie. Love the movie, love the soundtrack, love the song. This song is so beautiful, it gives me chills. It's in a genre all on its own, I can't even call this pop. It sounds kind of magical, haha. I would never have known about it if it wasn't for the movie, seeing as I've never even heard of this Rachael Lampa before. Even to this day, I still don't know who she is. She has an angelic voice, though. And she's got great control of her vocals.

But yeah, this song is basically about believing in a seemingly impossible relationship. Having faith in it even when everyone else wants to drag you down, and laughs at your efforts. Maybe they didn't think she had a chance with the guy? Because he's "way out of her league", or that he was just so wrong for her. And so they thought she was a dreamer, a fool. Nonetheless, she stuck to what she believed in, which in this case, was LOVE. Something about unconditional love and all that jazz. Love will save the day!

BTW: Is it not "Maybe you're here today"? as opposed to "here to say"?

And what does she mean "You were in my life"? Is he not in her life anymore? Or did she say "You are in my life"?

Teddy Geiger – For You I Will (Confidence) Lyrics 20 years ago
After watching the object of his affection from afar for what seemed like eternity, he (Teddy, if you will) finally decides to lay his heart out on the line. It's going to be hard because she seems unattainable (maybe she's got a boyfriend, etc). He's always been so shy, never wanting to make the first move. He fears rejection, or is simply discouraged at the fact that he has no chance whatsoever. He believes that she is completely unaware of his existence, but he could be wrong (As shown in the video). This again reinforces the saying, “You always want what you can’t get.”

But now, he's going to muster every ounce of confidence he has and just dive in, regardless of the anticipated response. Kinda like cannonballing into the water, because in doing so, you simply shut your eyes, jump in, and hope for the best. On one hand, his heart might be crushed and stomped on. On the other hand, this may mark the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Maybe he’s not expecting any particular response at all. But if you never try, then you'll never know. And tomorrow might be too late.

Maybe he's feeling reckless, adventurous. Maybe he feels like he's got a chance. Perhaps he feels like it couldn't possibly get worse, so he might as well give it a try. Could it be that he's got nothing to lose?

This seems like a typical teenage crush situation, definitely very cute and has a sort of innocence about it. Everyone can relate, I'm sure. Sounds like it's situated in a school setting (perhaps high school, considering his age), especially with the mention of hallways, and the mall, and whatnot. I especially love the lines “I could fall asleep in those eyes”, and “No more camouflage / I want to be exposed”.

Aww, Teddy is so cute! I love the hair, haha. Awesome song. And about the video: I believe she is with Teddy now. Throughout the video, he is singing to her about how he felt prior to their relationship. The video is comprised mostly of flashbacks. And in the end, we find out that she is with him. Don't you love happy endings? ^^

A Perfect Day – Still Smiling Lyrics 20 years ago
I love this song! It sucks that not many people know of it because the band, A Perfect Day, is Canadian. These lyrics are near impossible to find on the Internet! Thanks, John! ;)

And as for the song meaning? It's pretty simple, really. Everything's all wrong but she's still smiling. Quite ironic, ain't it?

"But it's just one of those things that tragedy brings
That somehow makes me smile "
Maybe she sees the beauty in chaos. Afterall, there are two sides to everything. Could be sarcasm, too. Could be that she's not really smiling, just mocking the situation at hand.

Or maybe she's hopeful. Despite the fact that everything's gone rotten, she still has something to smile about. Maybe she's finally realized that crying isn't going to solve anything. Time to be optimistic at what the future holds. It could always be worse...

Or perhaps she feels hopeless in that there's nothing she can do to fix the situation. She feels as if there's nothing left for her to do but smile. Just watch helplessly as her world falls to pieces right before her eyes.

All three explinations kinda tie together. Everyone feels that way sometimes, and I can definitely relate. Either way, it's still a beautiful song. I love her voice; It's so smooth and soulful.
