Can't say i know wot this songs about but the first two lines: "This is my time This is my tear" Means this is his time to self reflect, and kind of sheds tears thinking of sum past memory or feeling. Kind of stating that this memory means something to him. Or maybe by "my time" he means a moment hes been looking towards for so long and hes dissapointed with it or it just makes him upset. i dunno. just like that line. gd song. |

I agree about how its a relationship falling apart. i think the "Poison" is kind of a metaphor for the relationship he's having and how it is kind of killing him from the inside, with doubt and paranoia. then hes caught off guard wen they kiss because its not the same as it used to be, i guess the love has kind of left him. although the line about he would rather live in regret makes it seem like its his first kiss with whoever hes kissing and it comes down to the point of "u only regret what u dont do" so maybe its just the consequences that this kiss means..... to be fair im not really clued up about this one. |

I dunno bout all these views tho i can see how they fit. i always just took it litterally "the first star i see may not be a star" -always thought it was just an excuse for him to stay a moment longer just to be with whoeever hes with. Also the whole "can u still feel the butterflies" is him asking himself and questions how he feels, all the song is about stages of a relationship and hes paranoid asking questions, doubting his feelings.-well thats my view. thank you for reading just had to say my perspective of this song as i felt my view was a bit of a minority. Fav song!!!! really wanna see them live!!!!! |
