i think this song is about sharing a night of passion with a person and then feeling betrayed when that person bolts afterwards. Parts of the first verse seems descriptive of a sexual relation - the "flashing lights" of sexual bliss, the breathing out her faith, possibly in a sigh of ecstasy. "Pain takes my heart's place. The love we made, we can't erase it. Don't want to face it." The chorus says that a pain has now replaced the love she had. The same love they made that she can't forget but doesn't want to face either. She is now left with the moral dilemma of having gone too fast into a situation that has left her ultimately alone and betrayed by her own feelings. She has to decide whether to keep hoping he/she will come back or give up and move on and deal with her mistake. |

| i think this song is about knowing someone can't love you no matter how hard you try. she sings about still being alive (in love) and apologizing for it, yet she sings about his concrete heart and red lights (sirens) and his (fake) smile she fears because he doesn't truly love her and deep down she knows this, even though she wants him to love her in return. i think the song summarises knowing all this and coming to terms with the truth of the situation and looking to find a way to live with her feelings so she can move on. | |
| Pink – I Don't Believe You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| The song is about the end of a relationship. The lyrics indicate that one person found the drama she brought a bit too intense to handle ("it's like the way we fight, the times i cry, we come to blows and every night the passion's there so it's gotta be right, right") and ended the relationship while she is holding onto the promise he made when entering into the relationship in the beginning (perhaps something to do with the demise of her marriage??). | |

My interpretation of the song is the singers realisation of his feelings for his friend, and his hesitation to pursue her because "love is the end" of their friendship. He knows that if they made that leap and it didn't work they likely wouldn't be able to reclaim their friendship in the fall out. There are references to going home (what he knows) and not saying the words (that they love each other) and that he went looking for new horizons (new relationships) but could only think of her. |

Easily about being torn between 2 lovers. The one you're with, and the one you keep running to behind your lovers back. I think its amazing the way instead of playing the whole thing as melodrama, the words work with subteltly and really make you feel bad for the person in that situation. the tone and remorse in the vocals is outstanding too. gotta give keisha props for pulling off this cover with as much class as the original. this version leaves me feelin breathless. |

| Bic Runga – Good Morning Baby (feat. Dan Willson) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| beautiful song indeed. i think its about wanting to be somewhere else, and wanting more for your life but being stuck with your own imperfect life, and praying you're gonna make it through to something better for the future. | |

i think its about breaking up with a girl, and the first portion of the song is the moment just after he did it. having to look her in the face and see her confusion, while dealing with his own over his actions. he then asks for forgiveness by asking for gods love to be with her. possibly as a way of appeasing his guilt. overall it sounds like she just wasn't for him and it just wasnt a good fit, so he had to say goodbye without any good reason, and was left with the guilt over hurting her. |

to me this song is about just leaving someone behind, whether it's because of death or just because its time for you to part. she's asking for the person to remember her. for some wierd reason i keep relating it to the death of a person though. mostly because of the first two verses. theres something in the lines that seem to echo death and not ever being able to come back to the loved one again. either way, i still think its a beautiful song, and it screams solace and heartache. |
