my favorite BSS song easily..and the fast version is also pretty incredible, depends on what mood i'm in.
to me, it sounds like everything is happening very quickly to this person and he's feeling a wave of different emotions: confusion, confidence, nostalgia..regardless, it can't help but put you in a good mood. |

This is off of the new album..Dave sings it with Emily from Metric. At first I wasn't that crazy about it, but it's starting to grow on me. It sounds closest to anything off of Logic from all of the new stuff, in my opinion.
I think he's asking someone to make a decision, like he's been waiting around and is ready to move on with his life, and he's asking her to come with him. |

This might possibley be my favorite song of all time..
As for the final lines, which I think are some of the most powerful lyrics I've ever heard..("20 years asleep...")..I believe is a call or warning to live life to the fullest. The verses of song echo from life experience..and when the ending arrives..tempo change and all, he's afraid that everything he's lived for might be in vain..
It reminds me of my parents, middle age in general, I think..Some people sort of just stop living, and that's a pretty depressing thought. This song makes me want my life to be different. |

Although the album has a lot to do with 9/11, i think it's being used as metaphor in this song for this sedentary phase between the writer and someone else. Something might have slowed them down in the past or caused them to look at eachother differently, but he is asking the other person to just forget about it and keep on going for the sake of unpredictabilty. |

I think this song is about a capturing a certain time and place. Lines like the "falling freeon" and "i love feeling beat", probably have no deeper meaning than some personal experience the writer had..so while it is exclusive in that regards, everyone has certain moments, days, weeks, years, that will always be looked back on with fondness. And if you don't, I feel sorry for you. |

One of my favorites off of "Logic.." The use of metaphors to describe what he's going through really show what a great lyricist Dave is, and Tim sings them in such a passive way that it fits perfectly with the intentions of the song.
Sometimes I wish I was depressed just so I could relate..and that is a sign of a truly great song. |

I think this song has to deal with gender roles and how the writer feels they have been reversed in this particular situation. Going into a situation, you might know what you want or you might plan how you are going to act, but you don't take into consideration the effect the other person is going to have on your overall feelings. |
