well, when i left that comment i didn't realize that 50,000 people said the same thing before me. but they do suck. and they 4 sure aren't punk. just cuz u have an electric guitar and black hair doesn't make u punk. and the lead singer's voice is annoying. |

ok i agree w/ empathy on this one. (including the part about cussing). although the song gets old pretty quick. the meaning is obvious. it's about a middle aged mom who couldn't live up to her dreams and is still living in 1985. |

u know what I think? i think green day wrote the rock opera by accident and tried to make into a story. well, i guess the movie will explain everything. |

i've seen and read like 50 interviews w/ green day about this album (the order of the tracks confuses me), and what i got out of it was that, the main character, jesus of suburbia, gets fed up w/ everybody and leaves, abandoning the name st. jimmy (jimmy's suicide?) and then he comes back??!!!!? I don't know. i thought i had it all figured out. |
