Back in the day of it's release songs on some stations were kept to a 3-4 minute format. After seeing B.O.C. at the Long Beach Arena in 74, I couldn't believe what a puss song B.O.C. had released. It was only after I heard the song on A.O.R. that I realized pop radio had deleated Buck's lead break towards the end of the song to fit their format. Hard to believe that stations played DFTR next to such groups as KC and the Sunshine Band, and Donna Summer. |
