first off. i love how this is song -swoons-. its pretty self explanitory. the girl cheats on him && he's making himself feel better about the situation by letting her know that she's made the biggest mistake possible. he was more than she deserved. i've heard a few interpretations of "the stomach acid finds a new way to make you get sick" what i get from that [and i probably am not right] is that sick feeling you get when you're ashamed of your self. like she better feel pretty damn disgusted over what she's done to him emotionally, and to herself morally. i think someone said it could mean she got pregnant? i think that works. and would probably be how he found out she was cheating. and the whole 'but its better if you do' && 'i write sins not tradgedies' thing. i totally agree. && yes. lets get stereotypical fan and say that i love panic! at the disco. theyre my favourite band, i could rant on about them for ages but this is not the place... one last thing. ryan ross is so god damn amazing. he's my biggest influence in writing. [i even checked out his livejournal entries. was impressed. very impressed.] im very very obsessed with him. and that was before i found out he was attractive. ^.^ |

does anyone else get the impression that when he references the 'gunslinger extroidinare' he's referring to himself... meaning that he feels like shotgunning the 'walking contradictions' of our society [scene kids maybe. no definite but it fits.] i thought about it. and that seems logical to me. also makes me laugh. |

from what i've heard apart from 'god damn' being unsuitable for mtv [yeah..right..] brendon is mormon. && they have a whole heap of rules that most other people find strange and confronting. im guessing the mormon church isnt too happy with people saying 'god damn'. im certain theyre not allowed to swear. also. i know theres a lot of people that hate panic!. youre entitled to your opinion. but i along with many others think theyre fantastic, && would appreciate it if you didnt post hate posts here. i dont know, find a forum or something. thanks. |

i found ryan's first draft to this song. might make the meaning clearer. the inspiration from invisible monsters is clearer. that and he mentions it in the same lj entry where i found this. also i read the book. effing great. shes not bleeding on the marble floor just for the attention.thats just ridiculous(ly on)..but she sure is going to get it.. (the attention,and the bullets) here’s the setting- Fashion magazines lined the walls.now (its more like) the walls line the bulletholes...yea you sure let her have it. she didn’t choose this role,but she’ll play it and make it sincere,so you cry. just look at her…totally faking.cant they see this is melodramatic and staged? But they believe it from the tears and the teeth right down to the blood at her feet. You call yourself a model,though you aren’t wearing this seasons overwhelming feel of envy well. I mean, how does your wedding turn to murder and life in jail? have some composure,and where is your posture? oh no no no, your pulling the trigger all wrong. come on this is screaming photo op. Give me envy Flash Give me malice Flash Give me a tention Flash Give me…a break. When I say shotgun you say wedding..or whatever comes to mind. this could be the worst day of the rest of your life. | I havent read the book [I plan to as soon as I find it!] so this question might be answered in there...but why is it time to dance? To me [once again havent read the book] it doesnt seem to fit the rest of the song except that it has a dance beat...maybe that's it, maybe not. | |
