Basically, i think this song has something to do with HEROIN, look at his eyes whenever you see them, and look at the video. I think it could be about how he wants to get that same first hit again, but never can (i cant see the sunshine) he literally wants it to jsut sit him down and shut him up. so he can calm down. The rest of the song just seems to be his musings on life, but the chorus to me seems to be some kind of heroin drenched love hate thing. The video seems represantational of this, because they are all drowning in shit, and they cant get out, but they carry on playing anyway. Dont know if anyone mentioned this before |

i am just leaving my school, and this song completely embodies the feeling that you're friends are growing apart, but i think that rather than just going off on your own, i think it's when there becoms a very clear divide between your friends and they split into groups, like some of them are all in couples, or are going to different colleges and shit. yeah anyways |

Well i think the song is about wanting to be self sufficient and away from bad people, like they want their own little bubble, with their 'friends are all aboard' sea of green is a technique of growing cannabis, and the sky would be actually blue cos they would be underwater, i also think that it is a childrens song in that sometimes i listen to it to regress (or is it reggress?) anyway to go back to feeling younger and unaware of the greater evils in the world. iI think it could be about some man they looked up to who told them about the wonders of the simple life, but they adapted it to suit what they wanted, water is very calming dont you think?? ... |

I think that the first part is definitely about his dissatisfaction with the manager, and i also think that he is sad about the tension between the beatles and sees that when they started out, it was fine, but the bigger they became, the further apart they grew,i think 'that magic feeling' is just about lounging around, and not having to do anything, the simple pleasures in life that he misses, and he gave it up for the 'one sweet dream' of fame. |

i saw them with ordinary boys and they create a great atmosphere, beautiful, and even though a lot of people didnt know this song, they still sang it, now thats a song. to me it means one of those times when you are just completely at peace, and smile when you go to sleep. I think the rocky road is life, and his echoing steps louder show the impact he feels he is making, and that he thinks he will be whole by the time he is dead, the lonely road, again is life. the undergrowth and the twists and turns are the rough patches we all go through, thats what this song means to me, i've been listening to it on repeat for hours lol. also when you are in a friendly row, and then you just stop, and make up, and have a hug, this song reminds me of that |

to me this song is about teh anxiety of first love, and not wanting to upset the seemingly fragile passion, but to me the passion is the fire, and a small teardrop can do nothing to put it out.
