i love this song, but my favorite part is the moaning....i guess thats what u would call it (at 1:55)....i think it really goes well with the song, its kind of like a big release that just cleanses you....and that's what i think this song is about, forgiveness and moving on, it is very optimistic and i love it |

i have to agree this is one of the better songs....its as if its asking if what we see in the world is the real thing, or is it our perseption of it...Are the leaves on the trees Just living disguise...its like if the whole world has come into a conspiracy to trick us away from reality |

i dont think its a narcisitic as wild flower said....its more about that optimism and belief that you can change the world and make it a better place...if u think about it its very foreshadowing of Bono's life....now people do listen to what he has to say and he's helping this world go farther every day |

When life gets really hectic and complicated, don't you sometimes wish for the simplicity and the naivet of childhood....i think that's what this song is saying...but i agree with the an cat dubh comment...on the boy cd its like its just one long song because all the different songs run into one and they have the same underlying beat that just fuses them into one....as opposed to their later cd's that actually have breaks between songs...some people find it monotonous but i really like it...it provides a unified atmosphere and feel for the cd |
