"Now I'm gilt stricken, Sobbing with my head on the floor Stop a baby's breath and a shoe full of rice" -this part is talking about how a young couple was forced to get an abortion. A shoe full of Rice is a methaophor to a wedding. My phsychology class actually spent a class talking about this song. In general, i think its about having to deal with the horrors of growing up (suicide, aportions), but not wanting to take the blame |
