This is definitely about cruelty to animals and the destruction of our enviornment, but it takes on a different meaning to me. It's a story that starts with a guy who's with someone and leaves her for another. He and goes soul searching to find out his wants and needs, what's truly his path. It turns out she was all he really wanted, that all the things he once had were exactly what he needed. At the beginning, He returns and asks the original person he was with what's been going on lately. He knows it's been a long time but he wants to come back now. She isn't convinced that he's being serious about this, so she tells him "just go on, she wants you, pretend its your life but please don't die on me," Basically meaning (to me) that she wants him to just quit being sympathetic and go back with the woman he left her for. "Pretend it's your life" could have been said in a sarcastic manner like saying his explanation is a lie. "Please don't die on me" could be said in a sense of worry, so to say "please don't forget me" or "if that's the truth, please don't be hurt if you can't get all those old things back." He is sad because he really does love her and he wishes to turn back time, but it's too late. He's standing on the rooftop in terms of emotional decline, although also standing on the rooftop in reality. He doesn't want to live anymore because he can't have her, he can't have any of it again. He runs off the building and starts going down while thinking about all the times he's done wrong and only now realizes why he lost it all. His compassion drowns because he notices how deeply he hurt her, and therefore feels he has no right to love her. He wishes now more than ever to have her in his arms again, to make her feel better, but there's no time left. |

Not sure this song really has a meaning, I'd say it's simply just someone whos saying they're gonna kill a person with an axe...Behemoth doesn't quite have the most meaningful lyrics, but their sound....is....awesome...pretty hardcore stuff.... ~Crystal |

XsuperXgirlX69....I hope you drown :D Anyways...I am probably wrong as far as the REAL meaning behind the song, but, to me, this means...loving someone very close to you but not exactly having to words to tell them. The feelings are there, you just don't know exactly how to show them how you feel. You're confused and you just don't know how to get things completely straight. The person has been the best, a saviour in times of the greatest need, it's just that this person probably doesn't understand what you feel because they've been hurt before, and you're afraid they are going to think you're lying, like all the rest It's just that this thing you have with them...you feel that it's...different somehow, and you just have to make that person believe that...you mean it... To me this is actually just about the same..The whole relationship deal people are talking about...but when this comes up randomly when I shuffle up my music, all I hear is "I want you to be free Don't worry about me" It stands out very strongly to me, it just brings out a whole new meaning in my mind, like the situation I have with a friend of mine. l want him to be free, to not worry about me that much because, when he does, it hurts him, and even though I've never told him, I love him, and I don't want him to have to feel pain under any circumstance.. and I definitely don't want to feel that it's my fault, I would never want to be the cause.. |

Wanted to remind everyone, music is poetry with beat and rhythm. Just like poetry, a song can be precieved in many ways. No matter what the intended meaning, there is no real WRONG meaning. That is what is so beautiful about poetry and music, it applies to just about everything and can be seen in so many ways. This song to me means getting through hard times, seeing the light and finding happiness among a land of sorrow. We were meant to live for so much more, just because one part of you has been lost or has fallen doesn't mean you have lost your purpose in life, that you should just give up, but so many people think otherwise and we all ask "have we lost ourselves?" | I think this is just about the only song rammstein has that isn't quite as morbid as the rest. There may be a few, but I've heard almost if not all of them already. Definitly a great song still. Love the beat too. Means a lot to me, I have thought of what rammstein says in this song because it reminds me of things I have gone through lately. The person I love I lost, and I think of suicide each and everyday because yeah, it isn't worth it anymore for me, or so it seems. Only one thing keeps me alive, it is not love, but rather the simple words I have heard so far, the sound of music. Rammstein, truly the greatest. | |

Again as I said in another review, I didn't read anhy of the pervious comments before i posted it, so if this is just another repeat, I apologize. This song has multiple messeges, and is very powerful. It means a lot to me and I am sure many others, I believe it is one of Oasis's greatest. This is what I think this song means: hold up hold on don't be scared you'll never change whats been and gone may your smile (may your smile) shine on (shine on) don't be scared (don't be scared) your destiny may keep you warm He is just saying just wait a while, not to be scared of what the future brings, what's to come, all the things that have occoured in the past can't be changed so don't let it bring you down, just flow with it. He is hoping that you'll get through, guided by the better memories and the things you've learned from mistakes, etc. To keep believing that you've got things ahead of you. It may be to a person about to commit suicide, which is why it made me fall and shed tears, a friend gave this to me. The video considers the same image, the girl has a jug of gasoline and throughout the video, they are lighting a match. Suicide by fire? maybe. cos all of the stars are fading away just try not to worry you'll see them some day take what you need and be on your way and stop crying your heart out get up (get up) come on (come on) why're you scared? (i'm not scared) you'll never change whats been and gone The lines "Cuz all of the stars, have faded away, just try not to worry, you'll see them someday" are simply too beautiful. The mean so much and go along so well. He is saying yeah, things are bad, hope is hard to find, and things are gtting worse, but he wants to let you know that it has to get worse to get better, there's something waiting for you behind all this, something that'll make it all worth the while. A light at the end of the tunnel. Get up, start fighting through the bad times, don't be afraid of what will come next, just keep going. You can't change what's happened in the past, but you can make your future better, so do it. Stop feeling bad about what's already happened. The rest just repeats itself. This song is amazing, never before have I heard something that has touched me and made me think so deeply. I now know what I have to do. I hope Oasis just keeps these songs going. #1 band. |

Personally, This is what I think. Didn't care to read what anyone else put but here it goes. Take a photograph; it'll be the last. Not a dollar or a crowd could ever keep me here. I dont have a past, I just have a chance. Not a family or honest plea remains to say I think this just straight out means this has to do with suicide. He is telling this whole song to a person. He is telling this person, who obviously cares about him a lot, to take a photograph, that he won't be there anymore, he's gonna take his like and nobody is going to change his mind, he's got it made up. Rain, rain, go away, Come again another day, All the world is waiting for the sun. Is it you I want, Or just the notion of a heart to wrap around, so I can find my way around He wants all the bad to just go away, he doesn't care if it comes back later, he just wants it gone because he's in pain. Everyone is waiting for the sun, they're waiting for something good to come. The next verse explains to the person he is telling the song to that they question their love for the person, he thinks he is using the person as a way to comfort himself, to try and hold on to life. He wants a way to get around, so he's using this person. To lie here under you, is all that I could ever do, To lie here under you is all... To lie here under you, is all that I could ever do, To lie here under you is all... He is saying that's just the only thing left to comfort him. There's nothing else. Everything else just bounces back, it hurts him more, or reminds him of something that hurts him. I may be right, may be wrong. This is what I think this song means.
