Seems to me its more a reflection on their career to this point. The insecurities of trying to write so many songs, and not knowing exactly which notes to choose ("Still can't find out how to hold my hands"). The butterflies that come from performances and going to bigger stages ("need me in the next room over..."). The part that really makes me think that is that their self-title EP came out around 2000, so "after 10 years of making the most glorious of debuts" would be a reflection that this song is 10 years after that. |

| The Decemberists – O Valencia! Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Honestly...for those finding the homosexual vibe to it...it's probably because set a gender for the narrator either...it could just as easily be a girl who is narrating the song about a guy...we just assume it is male because Colin is singing it. | |
| Underoath – Sálmarnir Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I just find it funny that he took hearsay and made an opinion of the band based upon it...good job | |

To add to that, the line: "I stare so delicate and ashamed At the shell I've shed myself from" makes me agree with what Hogie said. He's looking back on his past mistakes and is ashamed of them. |

find the fire's is right...as is "to tire" then it's "But under the tunnel, I'm holding my breath" then it's "I searched every parka that hung in the closet" I don't get that second to last line...it almost sounds like "crawls in the bar"...but I don't know |

| Armor for Sleep – The End Of A Fraud Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I like two_on_two's way of putting it, it actually gets into the deeper concept in the album. It basically explores the idea that if you died, and were given the chance to see what your life would be like after your death...in this case, he goes through it all finding she never really loved him. "It’s all pretty clear But when I left you all stayed the same Now I think I believe That I was never alive in the first place" I think that stanza finishes it perfectly, especially the last line. |
