Nirvana – Baba O'Riley (The Who cover) Lyrics 20 years ago
I think this song should be titled differently, I know the title doesn't make much sense (they never say Baba or O'Riley), which in Nirvana's case, it doesn't. But in the Who recording it does, because "Baba" refers to Townshends spiritual mentor "Meher Baba", Townshend took Baba's critical measurements, like height and weight, and put them into a program that he wrote, and out came a synth riff, the signature riff in the Who song (Pete liked to play around with things). O'Riley is either an irish or a scottish folk song (I don't remember) but it is the fiddle song that is played during the outro. Since Nirvana had neither the fiddle or the synth, I think they should have titled it differently... but that's just my opinion

Rush – Prime Mover Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is about sex and babies.

From the point of conception
(when the sperm and egg meet)
To the moment of Truth
(finding out you have a child)
At the point of surrender
(giving birth? or preparing to raise children)
To the burden of proof
(ladies get fat when pregnant)

Then of course that's just one interpretation, I think it's about the journey of being married and having children, kind of like Neil did.

Bob Dylan – She Belongs to Me Lyrics 20 years ago
yeah, its kind of the point, he is sort of poking fun at these kind of relationships were the woman is a user, and the dude is her servant because she is so beautiful/perfect or whatever.

Bob Dylan – My Back Pages Lyrics 20 years ago
Chris has it in my opinion, its kind of like that teenage angst thing, were people erupt into anger to protest, kind of like Dylan did in his early years (hence the title, my back pages). I think this song sort of shows his regret for his past, and how he played into peoples traps by being the angry young man, but now he realizes that perhaps anger isn't the best way to solve problems.

Bob Dylan – It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding) Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is one of Dylan's best, one of my favorites as well. The only problem is that it is too good, because now it seems there is nothing for me to write more songs and poems about, since Dylan pretty much covered it all in this song.
