To the people that think the lyrics are "marry me, bury me": They're not, you aren't hearing it correctly. Listen to any of the acoustic versions of the song, it's performed much slower and you can clearly hear that he says "bury me, bury me". |

Well from what I've read, this song is actually quite different than what the rest of the album will be like. Having just listened to a live version of Knights of Cydonia (very similar to Plug in Baby) which is on the new album, the album sounds like it's going to be Origin of Symmetry with a more pop friendly sound. |

I've never thought of it as a religious song, although it fits with the rest of the album. I've always thought of it as a person who's trying to uncover some deep, dark secret. But by doing so has caused them to learn something they shouldn't have and caused their world to come crashing down on them and everyone they know. |

That's not a bad theory NewbiusMaximus, but remember that they made this song before Hybrid theory was released. I think Mike was trying to just expand the rap influence on their music with this. Most of their early stuff was more rock and metal driven and this brought the rap influence into their sound. That's just my thought on this, I could be wrong... |
