| Pinback – Loro Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I love this song, it makes me sad and happy at the same time, bittersweet. It's so relaxing, I wouldn't be surprised if it was intended to be a lullaby, it's always reminded me of one. To me, it sounds a bit like Jolly Old St. Nicholas, I can just picture singing along "Christmas Eve is coming soon; now, you dear old man, whisper what you’ll bring to me, tell me if you can." | |

Here's what I get from this song: this guy's sitting staring at his computer screen waiting for an email or instant message from a girl he loves. Seems like they've been having some problems, they've broken up or are about to, or something is going on with her. In the last verse he says he's hoping she's able to work out whatever it is that's going on with her, that she finds what she's missing. My favorite part of the song are these lines: "I’m a headcase if I don’t keep moving And my head hurts if I don’t sit still It’s an itch that I’ll never stop scratching It’s a hole that I’ll never quite fill" My boyfriend just dumped me unexpectedly and totally out of the blue, so I'm sure that's influencing my reading of the song, but I can say this is how I'm feeling now. He's saying that it's crazy not to move on, but that moving on is so hard, and that he's never going to be able to fill the hole in his heart that this girl has left. |

| Aaw, I think this is one of my favorite love songs. So classic and romantic. I'd love to someday dance to this at my wedding. | |

| What a sweet, sweet song. I see it as a guy expressing how happy his girl makes him, the lengths he'd go to for her, and how even when things may not be going right, it's okay because he has her there with him. I'm including this on a Valentine mix for my boyfriend. | |

This is an absolutely awesome cover! It reminds me of being a kid, riding around in my dad's car listening to the Traveling Wilburys. He played that cassette all the time, what a great album. I was trying to explain the Traveling Wilbury's to my boyfriend, who's a few years younger and had never heard of them. Original band members included Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, George Harrison and Roy Orbison. Quite the supergroup. My boyfriend then described it as "the Postal Service of your dad's generation." Yeah, kind of. Just as great as Jenny, Conor, Ben and M.Ward teaming up for this cover. The Wilbury's Volume 1, which included Handle with Care is now out of print and hard to come by; bummer. Maybe my dad still has his cassette... Anyhow, the lyrics are pretty obvious, I just wanted to comment on how much I love this cover. |
