I remember first hearing this song in concert in 2003 and hoped to hell he'd release it because it's meaning is so powerful. At his last Sydney concert in 2005 he played it through one microphone and got the audience to sing along with him. Nearly everyone knew and sang the words. If you haven't seen John Butler in concert, you haven't lived. It is well worth it. |

I think this is about John and his ex-partner. I think she miscarried their child, and in the song he is saying how hurt they are to lose him but so grateful for how it changed them |
