Arctic Monkeys – Fake Tales of San Francisco Lyrics 20 years ago
tis an alright track.

on the argument bit i'd agree that a majority of rock music (of any genre) has originated from the U.S.
BUT
i think that what the British do well is take the idea and do it better. just take bands like The Who, Cream, Led Zep. Deep Purple, black sabbath etc. perhaps some of the greatest rock bands ever.

Moving to this "indie style" that Arctic Monkeys are associated with. I see this style has being a modern punk and seen as punk actually originates from people wantin to go back to old 50's stlye rock & roll tracks i would have to confess that the style is without doubt influenced by the U.S. and arguably (if you don't include bands like the who) the ramones were the first punk band. so again i have to confess that the arctic monkeys are influenced by the U.S. but i would say that they are both lyrically and musically better than any american bands since the ramones.

so basically rock music may originate in America but the British do it better.
