To me, lyrics are whatever you make of them...though I do agree knowing the original meaning of the lyrics helps you understand the true depth of what the WRITER was feeling. I feel, while looking at these lyrics, a spiritual tone to this. The words soul, forgiveness, awakened, and forever give a very spiritual, "holy" tone. Like many others here, I think this DOES have to do with one coming to Jesus and seeing His sacrifice on the cross, His purity and innocence, and the realization that Jesus went through all that hell (lets not undersize it here, it was HELL!) for the writer. The writer seems absolutely dumbfounded by this epiphany, as he should be. That's what I see... |

again....lets be intelligent hear my friend......you don't know me so such accusations and suggestions are meaningless....and btw I USED to listen to not so good bands....Metallica, Disturbed, System of a Down, Slipknot, etc etc. Now I listen to Skillet, Falling Up, Pillar, Michael Gungor, (awesome worship music guys...look into it)and am planning on looking at As I Lay Dying, and Underoath and other such bands. Are they as heavy? Nope. Is it better than the metal I was listening to before? yep. But I have happened to find Demon Hunter, my favorite band...and proud of it. I have let go of listening to Disturbed...yelling at me to get "down with his sickness" and have now allowed myself to be one of the ones "who will still remain when all is laid to waste.." Now...can I see some evidence? If not......please stop trolling these boards...these people I'm sure don't appreciate it. |

littlehugs.....before you continue to diss up my favorite band I must now show you how foolish YOU are. The Demon Hunter symbol is infact a demon skull with rather large horns. Now...may i please draw you're attention to THE BULLET HOLE IN THE SKULLS FOREHEAD! These guys are the personal demon hunters...I have figured that the name originates from them hunting down their own personal demons and sins that torture every Christian's soul. These guys are trying to encourage us to hunt our own demons...such as addiction(Song: Ribcage),.... the ways of the world and other religion (The Science of Lies), ....those depressing time in our life when we wanna give up (The Tide Began to Rise), and encouraging us to be PROUD we are christians (UNDYING!).
