i think its about this guy who meets a girl, and he falls in love with her when you fall in love, you're wracked with thoughts and images of the other person cheating on you, with anyone at all. its him going crazy hoping hes the only one, hoping shes not cheating on him. this song is so good. i love it so much, because this is exactly how i felt at a period of time. everytime i hear this song, i can feel that feeling again...being torn apart by jealousy. but now, acctually, i see maybe its his wife? and he suspects her cheating on him but she denies it (chocking through your alibis) but hes saying how its he refuses to look at the obviouse how he won't accept the facts.."open up my eager eyes, im mr. brightside" he's saying to let him see whats before him, isntead of beign so optimistic and thinking his wife (or even girlfrend) could cheat on him alsooooo since this album mentions a couple of time homosexuality (andy your a star, somebody told me) it could even be the boy hes talking about, not the girl |

this song is super meaningfull to me recently, a guy just ended it with me. and this a point of view i take from this song. that this guy (the singer) is going through a break up with this girl, who was using him. she was using him because she had recently been hurt and she needed to have someone that she could like get revenge? heal her self you know? but liek this guy he knew it all along...he wnet along with it because he wanted her so much so he makes himself believe that she loved him. hes trying to convince himself something he knows is not real, becuase he has to. because thats the only way he can go on. he denies to everyone else he cares about her all...but inside, hes dying. |

i think this song is soo cute and i love how like their trying to put a so seriouse topic (suicide) into such a happy song. i hope no one here thinks im liek a sick poser, but honestly, this is the only streetlight manifesto song ive heard. and so far, their my favorite band. like seriously it makes me soo hopeful that no matter how fucked up everythign can get, and no matter how sad I feel i have to remeber everyone else around me, that there are people that love you so much you have to hold on for them. liek annie she has him, who he cares soo much about her that hes willing to help her go as to far as to "load her gun" because he thinks maybe it will make her happy? and thats the best thing anyone can do i believe. being for you, with you, no matter what you do. because thats how muych they love you. know that you think that you're on your own but just know that i'm here and i'll lead you home if you let me she said "forget me" but i can't that part is a great way GREAT way to end. and i just want to say, that sometimes i wish i was annie. because she has something very special man. someone special...and shes not right, things dont just go on without her. shell be living foreverrr in everyones mind. i hope that anyone who hears this song realizes that you do affect other people. |
