| Damien Rice – Animals Were Gone Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Okay. I love Damien Rice's voice. I love how delicate he sounds, yet so powerful. But I have huge problems with how generic his song structures and storytelling are. And I find it really strange how he gets credited with groundbreaking songwriting, when there's no complexities at all. Sure, they're real scenarios. Sure, they're relatable. But I don't see anything out of an ordinary teenagers' poetry book. Anyway, it's a solid song. But he's done better. |

| My favorite song off the album. Kinda defines a previous relationship of mine completely. | |
| Jenny Lewis – Handle with Care (Traveling Wilburys cover) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I seriously cannot wait for March 28th and 29th. Jenny Lewis is playing a small, intimate downtown club here in Austin, and on the 29th, Death Cab is on it's way to selling out a 5000 person venue. Oh man... if Ben made an appearance at Jenny's show I'm going to die. And even moreso if they do this song. I highly doubt it cause I don't think M.Ward and Conor will tour with her... but even just Ben a day early dueting with Jenny would be so amazing. This song is an indie lovers' wet dream. |
