hehe, that's awesome CastlesMadeofSand :)
So trappedinabliene, you think "You don't care a bit" refers to current america not caring about what it has done to native americans? So it is a comment on the current america, or say current general american society, although it discusses what it did to the Native Americans, it doesn't really care and is not going to do anything about it? I guess that makes sense. Fits with "Speak no feeling, no, I don't believe you". It is discussed but not with any real feeling of responsibilkity. Hmmm, starting to agree, guess i still like the notion of it being about a relationship. |

if this song is about Native Americans and the invasion of europeans then who does the final lines:
"You don't care a bit"
refer too? Current Americans? That doesn't make sense. God then? Anyone who thinks this song is about Native Americans got a suggestion? |

I agree with LoveThyEnemy, it is a song about someone suffering from a mental illness. The dancing dirt into the snow i think refers to the person being reactive to their problem and not being able to help themselves but rather pushing everyone away and making things worse for themselves. Everyone around them can see the pain and suffering the person is going through but cannot help. The person needs to help themselves by seeking help. Hehe, sounds a bit like i've had someone like that in my life. Sad song, fits so strongly to my experience. |
