| all you people rippin on megs voice suck. who cares if its "out of tune". one of the things that make the stripes a great band is their simplicity and imperfection. if meg sounded like Mariah Carey then they wouldnt be the stripes. anyways... about the meaning, i used to think that the part "you need to know the difference between a father and a lover" was refering to girls that have a father who is a dickhead but they love hime and he is what their idea of a father should be, so they find "a lover" thats exactly like their "father", if that makes any sense. but if that were the case then the rest of the song wouldnt really make sense. so now i think i agree with Tommyjazz. I cant believe i hadnt thought of that | |
