| DragonForce – Black Fire Lyrics | 19 years ago |
You come to songmeanings.net to say the lyrics are literal? Whatever floats your boat, man. I see him talking about armed rebellion: "Stand up and fight now." "This is the day that they'll be known as my enemy" - no longer will he tolerate the injustice. The black fire is collateral damage, and the violent change to the status quo that comes from something like an armed rebellion. Is that the same as overcoming fear to ask a girl out? I don't know. I see it as closer to standing up for yourself, and not just dying without fighting. After all - is that really fair? |

| Edguy – Babylon Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I love this song. He doesn't want to change, and he doesn't want to prove anything special. He's perfectly content to do his own thing and go where he belongs, while allowing everyone else to do the same. Including Babylon makes it seem religious, but this could be applied to anything: "You bame us for doing things that you don't know", like having a certain talent, and inadvertantly making others become jealous because of it. |

| Machinae Supremacy – Arcade Lyrics | 20 years ago |
A combination between MaSu's videogame and rebellion themes in their music; in a videogame, you might be a powerful hero or unstoppable gunfighter, unbound by science. Outside of the game, everyone's forgotten the magic of imagination, moving away from the raw pleasure of things like "adrenaline addiction" to stifling creativity - think about how much artists and writers get paid unless they -really- "make it big". |

| Autopilot Off – Blessed By A Nightmare Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I think he got mugged and shot at (but wasn't hit), but it was such a close call that he has a nightmare about the time every night. He takes it as a blessing, because it makes him cherish life all the more. Take the money; just let me walk away alive. |
