| i think this song is about a guy and a girl, and the girl is fighting with him, shes throwing everything that hes done wrong in his face, and hes trying hard not to fight back. hes saying that everything they had together is for nothing, And that what ever he did wrong she took it 2 far and they broke up. she keeps blameing him for it, when some of the blame is on her too. and he finds it impossible 4 him 2 hate her, the way she probably hates him, no matter how hard he trys. cuz its like, not matter what she does,he wont fight her. he doesnt love her, but he doesnt hate her either. | |

i think this song talks about a girl (obviously), whos father never listened to her and never paid enough attention to her. "Daddy's girl learned fast All those things he couldn't say" means that because the way her father was, he could never tell her that he loved her. He probably lied to her alot, and that the parents should have noticed that she was tryin to tell them. but they wouldnt listen. So she felt that she had to runaway from everything, and she thought that was only way she could get back at them.This song Rocks, its one of my favorites from Bon Jovi. |

i think the song DOA is kind of a continuation of the song best of you. in the begining he says: "Oh you know I did it It's over and I feel fine Nothing you could say is gonna change my mind Waiting and I wait at the longest night Nothing like the taste to sweet decline" which means that the decision that he couldnt make before, he finaly made. and nothing that she/ they say is gonna change his mind. "I was down, I fell, I fell so fast Dropping like the grains in an hourglass Never say forever cause nothing lasts Dancing with the thorns of my buried past" this means that he probably made alot of mistakes in the past, but hey nothing lasts forever. "Nevermind there's nothing I can do Bet your life there's something killing you" all this means is that he mite have though about helping her, but then realized that their was nothing he could do cuz she wont change. It's a shame we have to die my dear No ones getting out of here, alive This time now this is very interesting cuz hes says " no ones getting out of here alive" no, it dosent mean he wants to kill someone. what i think it means is that when they break up, hes not the only one whos gonna feel pain. they wont be the same. this is my favorite part of the whole song: "Finished, I'm getting you off my chest Made you come clean in a dirty dress A promise is a promise you kept in check Heart across a heart that beats it's fist" this is saying that hes done with her and doesnt want anything to do with her anymore.and that he made her say how she really feels about him ( hence the part " made you come clean in a dirty dress) even though she didnt want to. "Take a good hard look for the very last time The very last one in a very long line Only took a second to say goodbye Been a pleasure but the pleasure's been mine, all mine" this is kind of self expanitory. all it means is for her to look one more time, and say goodbye to what she lost. and this will be the last time he will ever feel this way for her. i think that intothegrinder2 is write it should be:Been a pleasure. but the pleasure's been mine, all mine this is a really great foo fighters song. its one of my favorite. |
