Yea, i'm with Timbo the Bimbo here. This CD isn't a story of repenting and being forgiven. It's about how religion didn't work out in the end, so he took his own life (Ironic, because, refresh me if I'm wrong, that's not a good thing to do in the Christian eyes). I adore Pedro. |

I love this song. I think all of David Bazan's songs are brilliant, to be honest. And yea, DON'T READ TOBENUT's COMMENTS! Seriously, you can take him as a "Christian Poet" and whatnot. But there's a reason he doesn't vouch for that. Just my opinion he writes about the ironies that are life, and religion. All religions in general, and life. If you look at his songs in a shallow manner, sure they may seem like "Christian Spin". But far from it. Satire has never been so welcome. |

I just love this song. I don't know about you guys, but I'm having a lot of friends jumping into the marriage thing, and in my opinion, wrongfully so. I know (as you all do) the song is just about a guy, realizing way too late, he's done something he can't take back. Hah, and I love the bit about having a drunk night in Vegas, then waking up to "HOLY HELL WE'RE MARRIED!?" Priceless |
