Dude, guys, the reason why there is such a debate whether or not they are christian is cuz us christians want people to realize there is a much deeper meaning behind these lyrics. I believe Thrice can be somewhat vague in their christan meanings to some people because if they were singing a 100% christian message then they would be labled a "christain band" meaning nonchristians prolly would never hear their music. They avoided the christain band scene so they can reach more people with their music. This debate has gone on throughout all their songs meaning forums and it is because we christians fear for your lives to those who refuse to accept Thrice as a christian band. |

U guys ever consider why Thrice is labeled as a nonchristian band w/ blatant christian lyrics? i beileve theyre not labled christian cuz not as much money in it and also allows them to reach a much broader audience, as christian bands reach mainly christians. Cmon guys, get over yourselves, believe in something greater than you. christians: "we are a children of light, stand ready and tall, reflect the light." |

I think its funny how all the nonchristians are refusing to believe Thrice is a christian band. I mean cmon, this whole cd has a christian theme. this song especially is taken directly from the Bible. I believe Thrice isnt outwardly saying theyre a christian band because #1 not as much $$ in it and #2 by touring w/ secular bands, it allows them to reach more people, especially nonchristians. |
