I think the song is about a girl this guy grows up with, and when they were kids they were best friends. And soon, as they go older, their love matured into something more. But when the boy gets older he ends up leaving to be a trapeze swinger in the cirus. Ever since he did this, he has missed her. I believe that this song is something that takes place in an instant. Like this guy in the song was preforming and he missed his swing or something, and he is falling to his death, and in the split instant he has he sees her in all of his memories and how much he loved her. |

All I can think of is that this guy is stalking this beautiful woman (brave lady/my lady). He follows her everywhere, finds out that no matter how gorgeous she is she has something that is killing her inside. She begins to catch on to him, but pretends as if she doesn't notice anything. Late at night he breaks into her house while she is bathing and kills her. He does it because he thinks that will make her love him, and she accepts it because she has something that she can't live down. |
