guess what. 1. mae is NOT a christian band 2. a couple of the guys have definitely had trouble being faithful. I have no idea if this song is about cheating but they are human beings who make mistakes like everyone else |

actually, dave actually talks about this song on the everglow re-release. its definitely not about jesus being born.
just watch the dvd part if you want to hear exactly what he says. but in general, one part is about falling in love, then the next two parts are like the band to the fans/dave to the rest of the band |

i think its about the struggle a lot of young people have when theyre lonely, they want to find true love so they can wake up in their arms and be happy
but at the same time, instant gratification is hard to fight. drinking and moving too fast lets you wake up in someone's arms but its a cheap fix. he realizes this, and even though he's thinking of *her* he cant stop himself from drinking and giving "another cheap meaningless kiss" |

NO actually mae is NOT a christian band. come one, how many times have they answered that question and people STILL like to claim that they are a christian band.
this song was written by dave while he was in sky's the limit which WAS a christian band, thats why it can have such a christian meaning to it. |

seriously, its so funny how people completely over-analyze things to make mae seem more religious.
"now im branded for taking the fall" : dave has a sun and a moon tattooed on his arms that he says represent him and his girlfriend. this song is about a girl |
