this is a beautiful song. i love how their first verse completely differs from the rest of the song, instrumental-wise. it's definitely one of the best songs on the album.
It's about Americans and how we intertwine our needs and wants, and how this turns to greed and violence. |

No idea what this is about but I must say that Julian looks extremely attractive in that picture inside the CD cover...oh, but doesn't he always? *sigh* |

OK, first here's a hint about the video. When the old lady is scrubbing the floor, it's most likely a subliminal message to masturbation...ever heard the term "polishing the marble"???
Also, Julian's father, John, was the founder of Elite Models. His mom was Jeanne Christiansen, model and former Miss Denmark. His parents got divorced when he was a boy. Maybe Julian's father was a shallow pleasure-seeker and the song was about him? (after all..a "juicebox" is a man who is constantly on the prowl for beautiful women to knock up and then leave, according to urbandictionary.com) |

I know it sounds stupid, but I think it's about a smart guy in a group of dumb college kids who are all obsessing about some slut like Paris Hilton, and this guy doesn't understand why. |
