I pretty much want to cry everytime I listen to this. It reminds me of my ex. We had an extremely special relationship, & then he left me. Then we started hooking up, then he hurt me again. Now there is a chance he may want me back. & this song reminds me of me & him, because no matter how much he hurt me, I'd go through it all again if it meant being with him.

Where we always used to go
When we couldn't hook up at home
That line reminds of me of the two of us going to the beach, & hooking up in his car. I break everytime I hear that line, because I know I'll probably never get that special moment with him again. |

This song is really touching. I'm graduating high school this year & will be seperated from my friends that are moving & going to college while I am the one staying in my town & working for a while. This song was also played at my grade 8 graduation & I was so touched because around the time I switched schools & I didn't get to graduate with all my childhood friends I had to with a whole new crowd I didn't know. This song is the story of my life. I've been through some tough shit in my life & this song pretty much explains it. I'm misunderstood alot, I pretend I'm okay when I'm not. I just wish I could say to them "I'm sorry I can't be your perfect daughter". Alot of people in my life just are out to get me & make me feel bad about myself.
Anyways this song is basically about a guy & his relationship with his dad, his dad didn't want him to do want he wanted to do in life for a career. & he's saying "Hey Dad, look at me. Think back & talk to me, did I grow up according to plan?" His dad thought he was wasting his time following his dream & doing what he should being doing: following his heart.

This song has brought tears to my eyes a few times. This basically relates to what I'm going through. I may have a depression disorder. I've had one friend tell me many times that life is beautiful & that he will do anything to keep me alive. I had a bit of a bad past, & there doesn't go one week where I'm not depressed. My friend also told that he will do anything to keep me alive, because he doesn't want me to end it because he said I mean alot to him & I'm one of the best friends he's ever had. I know exactly what this song means. The lead singer Adam Gontier used to be addicted to drugs. I think he is saying in the song that he has tried to escape so many times from his life of drugs, but no matter how many times he has tried, he cannot stop being the animal he has become. He wishes it was all just a bad dream that somebody can wake him from, but than he soon realizes the animal he has become. |
