I think you guys have it wrong. If you read the lyrics, it would seem that it is about breaking up with a girl who either cheated or did something really wrong with another boy. The only line i dont really understand is when he says "theres no rest for a luxury" .. ??? other than that, the lines are pretty straight forward to support my idea. |

My take on this song is that there is a boy and girl who were once together in a relationship and are now broken up. It looks as if the boy wants to get back together, but the girl seems afraid and is saying no even though she is still good friends with him. "then how can we be friends? He's right you know, we can't go on like this." From these lines i take it that the girl has a new boyfriend and he notices that she and her ex might be "too good" of friends, almost to the point that it leaves him insecure. The remainder of the song is a plea from the boy trying to convince his ex-girlfriend that they should give their relationship another chance. He feels that even if nothing comes of it, at least he has told her how he feels (which is better than silence). |
