| Destroyer – School and the Girls Who Go There Lyrics

one of his best earlier works, I think with city of daughters he started to come out of the lo-fi 'ideas for songs' and "we'll build them a golden bridge"
I love the eeriness of that instrument in the backround. Gives it a bit of the scary carnival feel |

I'm looking at it now and I think its one or two rolls that one might play, a cop with a soul that throws people out, or wild kids who find their fun is over when they get pregnant. I think thats a way it may fit. |

| Belle & Sebastian – The Loneliness of a Middle Distance Runner Lyrics

How does B&S manage to write such brilliant songs on running (stars of track and feild, middle distance runner). As a runner of middle distance and having my kinda being grossly looked over, i appreciate this song very much. Given, its not really about a runner, sometimes i wonder what it is about, i think about it while im running... |

| All Girl Summer Fun Band – Will I See You? Lyrics

these lyrics (as they are mine) can not be right, if anyone has any ideas feel free to tell me
This is by far my favorite song of theirs, its cute and short, the makings of a great song. I think its probably about someone leaving and hoping that things might be the same when they get back, and that the person they wish to see is still there, and for them. |

this song left me so confused, i just assumed it was a random string of words and that seems to still hold true in my mind. i am a big fan of the line 'watch out the music will complete the change in you' really creative, somewhat druggy |

| Pants Yell! – Onward, Sailboat Lyrics

although this is very slow and not boring, but paced so to say, it is incredibly touching and my favorite by pants yell! it seems to touch your hear for some reason how all of the somewhat random words tie together to form a train of thought. For some reason
'some old school in delaware'
makes my heart skip a litle and almost brings a tear. A truly a beautiful masterpiece |

this being one of his best songs in my oppinion, just perfect for a long sunny drive during the dusk hours during the summer with several perfect friends(along with the rest of the CD). it seems that this song is about brian (lead singer) singing to a girl friend of his that is away for the time being if not for a while, hes telling her goodbye and hes asking her how things are going. telling her to have fun. maybe i dunno whatevs |
